I worked with Sierra Club and Greenpeace to devise a street theater protest surrounding the first online-only Duke Energy Shareholder's meeting. We created a mock shareholder's meeting as a vehicle to ask the CEO of one of the world's largest utilities, pointed questions about the impact of its business plan on everyday people and our world. In the 12X3-foot banner, we highlighted two themes: Duke hiding from the public eye, as well as Duke pushing for dangerous fracked gas instead of investing in clean, solar energy. The other two props I designed for this skit were a large name tag for the CEO (who is still fairly new, and needed clear identification); and a satirical 36X48-inch business chart showing the company's gains and losses. (The Puppet Head was created by Cathy T. Scott, Asheville Puppet Club, Asheville NC).
