Hi, my name is Nikola Taylor. I'm a freelance designer, illustrator and writer based out of Charlotte, NC. I have done work for newspapers, non-profit groups, political campaigns as well as businesses and individuals. My degree is in print journalism, and I have more than a dozen years' experience working for various newspapers, the latest being The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. My years as a journalist and designer have taught me to work quickly, efficiently and with a great attention to detail.
I specialize in taking complicated concepts and reducing them to simple, clean and easy-to-understand designs. I listen to my clients, and help write clear and compelling messaging, pairing it with just the right visuals. I take pride in making sure the client is satisfied every step of the process. My work has been displayed in books, on posters, banners, flyers, t-shirts, coffee mugs and even the sides of buses.
I have a special interest in environmental activism, and have worked with Greenpeace, as well as other environmental groups on campaigns promoting renewable energy. I love learning about new subjects and taking on challenges. I'm excited to see what the future has in store.
